Don't Think She Hasn't Noticed

"Don't Think She Hasn't Noticed" - 6/17/26

How you like bright colors too
How experience has left you unafraid
But cautiously optimistic barely contained
Imagination to her measured mystic

Walking down the rain-slicked streets your voice
Through the ether sharpens the stillness of
Marbleized figures meditative, virtuous
Aching for Justice to arrive in Athenian form

What’s Grace supposed to look like now? she muses,
Undeterred/anchored by everything good
That’s ever happened to her let loose by all
The obstacles large or small as ladybirds

If Mother Nature was a symphony instruments invented
Purely for Her reverence reserved for Her benevolence
Adoration elicitations soul-spun spool-wound
Elemental exigencies new moon howling doubt defying

Faith would incant in the form of a necklace
And you, intuition’s embrace-messenger
Would sacrifice a perfect sourdough
In the shape of impossibility’s demise to the
Deities in exchange for a slow-dance dip at sunrise
